I live in Summerhill but I paid for a one day ticket, can I get my money back?

We're working really hard to make sure the residents of Summerhill are aware of the outdoor screening event so they do not have to pay for it. However, If you do not find out that this event is free prior to purchasing a ticket, it will not be refunded, all ticket sales are final.

Can I smoke in the parking lot?

No. There is no smoking of any king permitted in the parking lot where the screening will be held. This will be strictly enforced! Violators will be asked to put it out or escorted off property by APD if it persists.

Where do you Park?

Free parking in lot where film will be screened, however, spaces may be limited!  It's Halloween weekend, so please consider taking Uber/Lyft if possible.  

Any Age Restrictions

The featured film, Girl with All the Gifts is MPAA Rated R for disturbing violence/bloody images, and for language. Children 6 and under are not allowed to attend this Rated R feature. For this Rated R Feature, Girl with All the Gifts, you must be 18 or older to purchase a single ticket or register for the screening of this film. A parent or guardian, 21 or over, is required to accompany and Remain in the parking lot with any underage individuals.

Can Summerhill residents bring guests that do not live in Summerhill?

Yes, but they will have to pay the entry fee of $10 in advance and $15 day of event.

I live in Summerhill, do I need to buy a ticket and or register?

This event is FREE with Registration for Summerhill residents. Yes, you must register to gain access to the screening. And you will be required to present proof of residency by a drivers license or recent mail with current address. Click Here to register.

What time will the restaurants along Georgia Ave. close?

All restaurants along Georgia Ave will close at 9:00PM.

Will there be restrooms in the parking lot of the event?

All patrons of the restaurants directly across and down the street will be allowed to use their restrooms. There will not be any restrooms in the parking lot where the screening will be held.

Can I bring my own food and drinks to the outdoor screening event?

One of the main reasons we're having this outdoor screening is to support the local businesses and restaurants along Georgia Ave. We're encouraging everyone to purchase all food and drinks/alcohol from those businesses. Anyone with strict dietary needs will be allowed to bring their own food and/or drink.

Can I bring my own folding table?

No.  If you happen to have a small table that comes attached to your folding/ camping chair, that’s fine.

Can I stream the films from the festival at my bar, restaurant or commercial location for a small group of people?

No.  Viewing is for home and residence use only!  It’s fine to have the family and friends over to watch the films. And no one is allowed to charge anyone to view films in the festival..

Where will the outdoor screening be held?

In Parking Lot A at the corner of Georgia Ave and Hank Aaron Dr.

Are Pets allowed at outdoor screening?

Unfortunately we can not allow pets at the outdoor screening event in Summerhill. This will be Strictly enforced. We apologise to anyone who was told otherwise prior to October 6th.

Am I required to be vaccinated to attend this outdoor screening event?

No.  Although your chances are decreased outdoors, there's still a chance of contracting COVID-19 if you're in close proximity to others. Please review CDC guidelines on attending large gathering events such as this one. If you're running a slight fever or have any reservations at all, please enjoy our @ Home festival by attending our virtual screening event instead!

How far apart will the tables and chairs be?

All tables will be positioned 6 feet apart. All attendees will be asked to keep your chairs 6 feet apart from other chairs and tables as well.

Do I need to wear a mask at the outdoor screening?

According to the CDC, you generally do not need to wear a mask outdoors. However, if you are in a crowded area or an area with a high number of COVID-19 cases, you should consider wearing a mask outdoors and for any activities that may involve close contact with others who aren't vaccinated.
